Performance metrics (scan times)

Below are some estimates of how long a scan takes for various file types. The data was collected by uploading individual sample files to a GCP source bucket that was in the same region as the scanner. The estimates were tested with the default GCP function app settings:

• PDF file under 100 MB: 11 seconds
• ASCII text file under 10 MB: 2 seconds
• PNG file under 60 MB: 5 seconds
• DOCX file under 10 MB: 3 seconds
• GZIP file under 27 MB: 4 seconds
• MOV file under 2 GB: 2 seconds

Performance metrics (volume scan times)

Below are some estimates of how long a scan takes and settings that were used for various numbers of 100 KB PDF files. The data was collected in a deployment with one storage stack and one scanner in the same region.
