Vision One Cloud Data Forwarder

The Vision One Cloud Data Forwarder is a simple way to integrate Cloud One Conformity or Standalone Conformity data with Vision One, while still managing your CSPM organziation in a separate application.

Overview

The Cloud Data Forwarder is distinct from Vision One Cloud Posture, as it only integrates the data from Conformity and leaves user and configuration management within the separate CSPM application.

If you are currently a Cloud One or Standalone Conformity customer, the Cloud Data Forwarder allows you to view and analyze your existing Cloud Posture data under Vision One Attack Surface Risk Management.

Existing Conformity Customers

Trend Cloud One - Conformity

You can integrate Conformity with Trend Vision One using your existing Vision One instance, or by signing up for a 30 day fully customizable Trend Vision One trial. Once you sign-up or you've already signed up with Trend Vision One, you can integrate Conformity with Trend Vision One > Risk Insights using an API key.

1. Click Administration from your Trend Cloud One - Conformity console.
2. From the left hand menu, click API Keys.
3. Click New.
4. Specify the API Key Alias.
5. For Role, select Full Access.
6. Click Next.
7. Copy the API Key immediately. Important:You cannot access the API Key again after closing the dialog box. Make sure that you copy and save the API Key in a safe location.
8. From the Trend Vision One console, go to Attack Surface Discovery > Start free trial.
9. Click on the Cloud Assets tab > Connect Trend Cloud One – Conformity to view the Data Sources page.
10. Open the Trend Cloud One - Conformity Data Source panel.
11. Paste the API Key you generated in Conformity.
12. Acknowledge that your Conformity data may be transferred to another data center based on the Trend Vision One data center.
13. Click Save to connect your data source successfully.
14. To confirm this, go back to Attack Surface Discovery, where you can see a message that your cloud asset has been connected successfully, and the data may take up to 24 hours to load.

Conformity Standalone (Legacy)

1. Log in to the Conformity console as an Administrator
2. Click on your name in the top right and select User settings.
3. In the left menu, click API Keys.
4. Click New API Key.
5. Leave the Safelisted IPs as 0.0.0.0/0 and click Generate Key.
6. Copy the API Key immediately. Important:You cannot access the API Key again after closing the dialog box. Make sure that you copy and save the API Key in a safe location.
7. From the Trend Vision One console, go to Attack Surface Discovery > Start free trial.
8. Click on the Cloud Assets tab > Connect Trend Cloud One – Conformity to view the Data Sources page.
9. Open the Trend Cloud One - Conformity Data Source panel.
10. Paste the API Key you generated in Conformity.
11. Acknowledge that your Conformity data may be transferred to another data center based on the Trend Vision One data center.
12. Click Save to connect your data source successfully.

You should be able to view Conformity data in Trend Vision One > Attack Surface Discovery > Cloud Assets within 24 hours.
