About subscriptions and billing
Each Trend Cloud One account has a subscription that determines how you are billed and which services you can access. Your account can only have a single subscription, and can be changed at any time by administrators with Full Access permissions to Billing and Licensing.
To check your current subscription, navigate to Subscription Management from the Trend Cloud One landing page.

Pay-as-you-go billing
Pay-as-you-go billing allows you to subscribe to Trend Cloud One and only pay for what you deploy and use. You are billed based on your usage of the Trend Cloud One services, reported on an hourly basis. Pay-as-you-go billing for all Trend Cloud One services is currently available through the AWS Marketplace listing. When you sign up for billing through the AWS Marketplace, you are billed monthly through the marketplace for your usage in the previous month.
Certain Trend Cloud One services also have free tiers available. Any usage within the free tier threshold is not charged to your Marketplace bill. Currently, free tiers are available for File Storage Security and Conformity.

Annual subscription
You are billed based on a subscription that you prepurchase from Trend Micro. This allows you to prepay for your usage for the year on a predetermined billing cycle and budget. If your are on an annual subscription, your subscription type is displayed as one of the following:
- Subscribed through Trend Micro License Portal
- Trend Micro Annual Subscription
For pricing, contact Trend Micro at cloudone_trials@trendmicro.com.
Expired subscription
After a trial or paid subscription ends, or after you cancel a pay-as-you-go subscription, your subscription type changes to "Trial or Subscription Expired". Accounts with an expired subscription are prevented from accessing the Trend Cloud One services and may experience degraded functionality, such as restriction of new deployments or security updates.
If your subscription expires and your account has no valid subscription for any Trend Cloud One services, it will be deleted 60 days after the original expiry. Alerts start appearing on the Trend Cloud One home page 30 days before the account is planned for deletion to inform administrators to update to a valid subscription.
Subscription type change
Your subscription in Trend Cloud One can be changed at any time by an administrator with Full Access permissions to Billing and Subscriptions.
When linking a new subscription from an existing subscription, navigate to Subscription Management and select an existing Trend Cloud One account, then click the button associated with the new subscription, such as Subscribe through AWS Marketplace.
The following documentation provides detailed instructions on how to navigate the site on which you are creating a new subscription:
- AWS Marketplace
- Trend Micro Annual Subscription
The only difference from the procedures outlined in the preceding list is that you are replacing a subscription rather than creating one. For that reason, after you click Link Subscription, the Trend Cloud One Confirmation page issues a caution about changing the link to an existing subscription.
The following illustration shows the example of creating a new AWS subscription:
Confirmation pages for different providers have a similar appearance.
